A provider, otherwise known as a healthcare provider, is a person or organization that delivers a healthcare service. Hospitals, doctors, nurses, physician assistants, and lab techs are all types of healthcare providers.
With respect to health insurance plans, health care providers can be either in-network or out-of-network.
